New Delhi – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 27, 2026 , refuted allegations of an improper contract award to Coempt Eduteck. This statement follows student complaints about the digital revaluation of Class 12 answer sheets.
CBSE Denies Improper Contract Award
CBSE confirmed Coempt Eduteck handles its On-Screen Marking (OSM) digitization. The board stated these allegations are "erroneous, misleading and not based on facts." CBSE claims it followed all government financial rules for the contract selection. A Request for Proposal (RFP) for digital evaluation was posted on the Central Public Procurement portal on August 28, 2025 . The contract was awarded to the highest qualified bidder.
The board published bid details on its eProcurement portal at eprocure.gov.in. CBSE reiterated its adherence to General Financial Rules protocols.

Class 12 Revaluation Portal Issues
The controversy emerged after Class 12 results were declared on May 13, 2026 . Students seeking answer books online reported problems. Issues included blurred scanned copies and portal crashes. Some students received mixed-up answer sheets. High fees for re-evaluation were also a concern.
