The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened its online portal for Class 12 students to verify answer sheets and request re-evaluation for the 2025-26 academic session. The process began on May 19 , allowing students to challenge their results if they believe there were errors in scoring or totaling. This year, CBSE implemented On-Screen Marking for all Class 12 papers, a digital system designed to minimize calculation mistakes. However, students can still access their evaluated papers and seek corrections if discrepancies are found.
Post-Result Facilities Schedule
CBSE has structured the post-result process into two distinct stages. Students must adhere strictly to the specified application timelines, as no offline requests or late submissions will be accepted.
| Stage | Application Dates (2026) | Processing Fee |
| Stage 1: Obtaining a Scanned Copy | May 19 to May 22 (until 11:59 PM) | ₹700 per subject |
| Stage 2: Verification & Re-evaluation | May 26 to May 29 (until 11:59 PM) | ₹500 per book for verification; ₹100 per question for re-evaluation |
Application Guidelines
Students must understand several key rules before applying through the CBSE portal. Failure to comply may result in the rejection of their requests.
- Students must first apply for a scanned copy of their answer sheet in Stage 1. Direct application for Stage 2 re-evaluation is not permitted.
- Applications for multiple subjects must be submitted together in a single request with a consolidated payment. No additional subjects can be added after initial submission.
- Students must be certain about their challenges. If a re-evaluation leads to a mark reduction, even by one mark, the new score will be final, and the original scorecard will be cancelled.
- All payments must be made online using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Payments via demand draft, cheque, or cash will not be accepted.
How to Review Your Answer Sheet
After paying the ₹700 fee for Stage 1 and downloading the scanned answer script, students should follow these steps:
- Verify personal details, roll number, and handwriting on the scanned copy to confirm it is their own work.
- Check that all written pages, supplementary sheets, and attached diagrams are visible and were scanned correctly.
- Download the official Question Paper Set and Marking Scheme (Answer Key) from the CBSE website using the correct paper code.
- Compare answers against the marking scheme point-by-point. Note down question numbers and clear, logical reasons for any perceived under-marking for the Stage 2 process.
