The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun releasing Class 12 verification and re-evaluation results. Outcomes are being issued in phases on DigiLocker, with the first batch released on June 21, 2026 . Students can track their application status online.
Verification and Re-evaluation Process
CBSE provides two distinct processes for students with post-result concerns. Verification of Issues Observed addresses specific errors found in the scanned answer book. Re-evaluation allows students to request a review of one or more questions within a subject.
Verification of Issues Observed
This process is for issues such as:
- Missing pages or supplementary sheets
- Missing maps or graphs
- Blurred pages
- Answer book belonging to another student
- Answer book evaluated against an incorrect marking scheme
Students can apply for this for one or more subjects.
Re-evaluation
Students can apply for re-evaluation of specific questions in their answer book. This can be done for one or more questions within a subject, or for multiple subjects.
Accessing Revised Results
Revised marksheets, where applicable, are uploaded to students' DigiLocker accounts simultaneously with the verification/re-evaluation results. The primary upload occurred on June 21, 2026, with remaining updates to follow shortly.
Main examination marksheets were available on DigiLocker immediately after the result declaration on May 13, 2026 . These were also dispatched to candidates and schools.
Marks Changes and Transparency
Marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after re-evaluation. This depends on the review outcome. CBSE states that any genuine discrepancy identified will be reflected in the results.
For students whose marks remain unchanged after verification, an opportunity to inspect their answer books will be offered at CBSE Regional Offices. A schedule for this inspection will be released soon.
Fee Structure
CBSE has reduced fees for these processes:
| Service | Previous Fee | New Fee |
| Scanned Copy | Rs. 700 | Rs. 100 |
| Verification of Issues Observed | Rs. 500 | Rs. 100 |
| Re-evaluation | Rs. 100 (per question) | Rs. 25 (per question) |
Excess or duplicate payments will be refunded. Fees will also be refunded if marks increase after re-evaluation.
