The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened an online portal for Class 12 students to address concerns regarding their 2026 board exam marks. This system follows the implementation of the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) evaluation process. Students can now verify mark totals, download scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets, or challenge specific evaluations online.
OSM Evaluation Process
On-Screen Marking (OSM) is a digital system. Examiners review scanned copies of answer books on a computer screen. This method aims to be identical to traditional paper-based evaluation. The scanning process uses lamp scanners. This allows for full scanning without cutting the answer books from their spines.
Application Schedule and Fees
Students must adhere to a strict timeline for applications. No offline requests will be accepted.
| Stage | Dates | Fee |
| Stage 1: Verification of Marks (Totaling Errors) | May 19 to May 22, 2026 | ₹500 per subject |
| Stage 2: Scanned Copy of Answer Book | May 26 to May 27, 2026 | ₹700 per subject |
| Stage 3: Re-evaluation (Challenging Specific Answers) | May 31 to June 1, 2026 | ₹100 per question |
Important Rules for Applicants
Students must follow the stages sequentially. Direct application for re-evaluation is not permitted. Applicants must first complete the verification and scanned copy stages.
If an evaluation review results in a lower score, the decrease will be applied. The original mark sheet will be canceled. A revised mark sheet will be issued.
All subjects and questions for review must be submitted in a single online application. The system does not allow logging back in to add further requests.
