The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has addressed concerns regarding blurry scanned Class 12 answer sheets. The board stated no student will face disadvantage due to technical issues with scanned copies. This clarification follows widespread social media complaints about unclear answer sheet images posted on the board's re-evaluation website.
The CBSE announced corrective measures to ensure fairness. All answer sheets flagged as illegible will undergo a high-definition re-check. A panel of subject experts will also manually review these scripts to prevent any errors in marking.
Corrective Action Protocol
The CBSE outlined a protocol to handle specific issues with scanned answer books. This includes re-processing illegible pages internally with advanced legibility checks. Incomplete scripts will have missing pages retrieved and uploaded.
Responses that were unmarked or skipped will be sent to subject experts for immediate grading. Any discrepancies in the calculation of marks will be re-checked against master registers to align with portal scores.
Application Window Extended
Due to high traffic on the online portal, the CBSE extended the application window for obtaining scanned answer books. The deadline to apply is now May 24, 2026 .
The board is also working to stabilize its website. An IIT team is involved in enhancing the high-traffic gateway architecture. Built-in safeguards aim to guarantee the total fairness of the evaluation process for all students.
