The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold its second Class 10 board exams for students who wish to improve their scores. These exams are scheduled to take place from May 15 to June 1, 2026 . Students who took the first main exams are eligible to appear for this second exam in up to three subjects.
CBSE announced the results for the first main Class 10 exams on April 15, 2026. Now, students who want to increase their marks have another opportunity. The second board exams will be conducted during the dates mentioned above. The board has also released the official date sheet for these exams.
It's important for students to know that not everyone can take these second exams. Only those who have already appeared for the first main board exam are eligible. These exams are different from compartment exams.

CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam Fees
The fees for these exams depend on where the student lives.
- Indian students need to pay INR 320 per subject .
- Students in Nepal must pay INR 1100 per subject .
- Foreign students have to pay INR 2200 per subject .
