CBSE Class 10 LOC Submission: April 16-22 for 2nd Exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the portal for the List of Candidates (LOC) submission for the Class 10 Second Board Examination. Schools can now update student information for the examination. The LOC submission window is open from April 16 to April 22, 2026. Students appearing for the second board exam must have their names submitted through this process.

LOC Submission Details

The CBSE has reopened the LOC submission portal. This allows schools to enter or withdraw names of students for the second board exam. Students who did not submit their names during the initial phase can do so now. The portal also allows students to withdraw their names if they no longer wish to appear for the second exam.

Examination Fee and Deadlines

The examination fee must be paid alongside the LOC submission. The schedule for fee payment and LOC submission is as follows:

Eligibility and Subject Changes

Students who were placed in the 'ER' (Eligibility Required) category are ineligible for the second board exam. They must appear in the 2027 Class 10 Board Examination. Students in the 'Compartment' category have the option to appear for the second board exam in May or wait for the compartment examination in July.

Students can change their Mathematics subject choice. This includes switching between Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic, and vice versa. This is the only subject change permitted. Students can opt for Mathematics, Social Science, Science, and one language. A maximum of three subjects can be chosen for the second board examination.

Second Board Exam Information

If a student submits their name for the second exam but does not attend, their marks from the February main examination will be considered final. The syllabus and paper pattern for the second examination will mirror the main examination. The CBSE will soon publish the official date sheet for the second board exams on its website, cbse.gov.in. Tentatively, these exams are scheduled to begin on May 5, 2026.

Results and Access

The Class 10 CBSE Results for the February 2026 examination have been declared. The results are accessible on the official CBSE website and the DigiLocker platform.
