For Regular Students (Through School)

  • Regular students, who are enrolled in a CBSE-affiliated school, cannot download their admit cards directly from the CBSE website.
  • Schools are responsible for downloading the admit cards. School authorities will log in to the CBSE portal using their specific school ID and password.
  • After downloading, the schools will print the admit cards.
  • Students will then receive their Class 10 or Class 12 admit card from their respective schools. It is important to collect it well before the exams begin.

For Private Students (Direct Download)

  • Private students, who are not enrolled through a regular school, can download their admit cards themselves.
  • They need to visit the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in .
  • On the website, they should look for a link related to 'Private Candidate Admit Card 2026' for Class 10 or Class 12.
  • After clicking the link, they will need to enter their application number or roll number and other required details to download their admit card.
  • Private students should download and print multiple copies of their admit card for safety.

Important Rules for CBSE Board Exams 2026

Students must follow certain rules regarding their admit cards and attendance to avoid problems on exam days. These rules are put in place by CBSE to ensure fair and smooth examinations.

  • Carry Admit Card Daily: Students must carry their original admit card on all days of the examination . If a student forgets or fails to show their admit card, they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  • Mandatory Signatures: For CBSE Class 10 admit cards , it is compulsory to have signatures of the school principal , the student , and one parent . Make sure these signatures are on your admit card before the exams. This confirms the student's identity and school approval.
  • Minimum Attendance Rule: CBSE has a strict rule about attendance. Students must have a minimum of 75% attendance in Class 10 and Class 12. If a student's attendance is less than 75%, CBSE has the right to refuse to issue them an admit card. This means such students may not be allowed to take their board exams. Therefore, maintaining good attendance throughout the academic year is very important.

Students should read all instructions on their admit card carefully once they receive it. Preparing in advance and following these guidelines will help ensure a stress-free examination period.
