The Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) will soon release admit cards for Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2026. These admit cards, also known as hall tickets, are required for students to enter the exam hall. The board exams are scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026 .
For regular students, admit cards will be sent to their schools. School authorities will download these admit cards from the official CBSE website, cbse.nic.in , and then distribute them to the students. Private students have already received their admit cards, which they can download online.
All students must carry their admit cards to the examination centre. Entry into the exam hall will not be allowed without it. Along with the admit card, students must follow specific rules and guidelines set by CBSE.
CBSE Board Exam Guidelines for Students
Students appearing for the Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2026 must follow these guidelines:
Exam Timing
- Students must reach the examination centre by 10:00 AM .
- Late entry will not be permitted after 10:00 AM, as the exams start at 10:30 AM.
Items to Carry
Students are allowed to bring the following items to the exam hall:
- Blue pens (ballpoint, gel, or fountain pen)
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Geometry box
- CBSE Admit Card 2026
- School ID Card
Dress Code
- Regular students must wear their complete school uniform.
- Private candidates should wear simple, light-colored clothes.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly banned inside the exam centre:
- Mobile phones
- Smartwatches
- Any other electronic devices used for communication
- Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to write answers is also forbidden.
Students caught cheating or bringing any banned items will face strict action. This will be considered an 'Unfair Means' (UFM) case, and punishments will be given according to board rules.
