Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has demanded a detailed report from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding technical failures during the Class 12 revaluation process. The ministry seeks an examination of website crashes, payment system issues, and login problems that affected students. Complaints also surfaced about money deducted from accounts without successful application submissions. The minister's action follows widespread student and parent grievances.
Technical Glitches Plague Revaluation Process
Students encountered significant hurdles applying for answer sheet revaluation and verification. These included website malfunctions, leading to inaccessible portals. Payment gateways also experienced issues, causing confusion and financial losses for some applicants.
Beyond technical problems, students raised concerns about the quality of scanned answer sheets. They reported blurred and unclear copies. Questions were also raised about potential evaluation inconsistencies under the new OSM system implemented by CBSE this year.
Education Ministry Demands Accountability
The Education Ministry instructed CBSE to investigate all agencies managing the online portal and digital evaluation systems. The board must assess whether adequate technical support was available during peak application periods. The ministry wants a clear understanding of who is responsible for these disruptions.
CBSE has acknowledged the issues. In a statement, the board confirmed corrective measures are underway. The application deadline for revaluation has been extended to accommodate affected students. This extension aims to prevent students from missing their chance to appeal for re-evaluation.
CBSE Extends Deadline, Urges Caution
The extended deadline provides a crucial window for students to submit their revaluation requests. CBSE advises all students to regularly check the official CBSE website for further updates on the revaluation and verification processes. The board stated it is committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and accuracy.
Students experiencing anxiety about scanned answer books or evaluation inconsistencies are encouraged to remain calm. CBSE assured that all genuine concerns will be addressed. The board's commitment aims to restore confidence in the evaluation system.
