The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) opened its re-evaluation window for Class 12 results on May 19, 2026. Students have until June 5, 2026, to apply for various post-result services.
Re-evaluation Process Launched
The re-evaluation period follows the release of CBSE Class 12 results. This year, the process is structured in three distinct stages. Students must apply for a scanned copy of their answer book first.
Step 1: Obtain Scanned Copy
Students can apply for a scanned copy of their answer booklet from May 19 to May 22, 2026 . This initial step allows students to review their marked papers for any potential evaluation errors or scanning issues.
The fee for this service is ₹100 per subject . After payment, students will receive a PDF of their scanned answer scripts within a few days via their online profile.
Step 2: Verification of Marks
Following the review of scanned copies, students can apply for verification of marks. This window is open from May 26 to May 29, 2026 . This service is for checking totaling errors, missing sheets, or unmarked portions.
The fee for verification of marks is also ₹100 per subject .
Step 3: Re-evaluation of Questions
The final stage allows for the re-evaluation of specific questions. This application period runs from May 31 to June 5, 2026 . Students can request re-evaluation for individual questions they believe were incorrectly marked.
The fee for re-evaluation of a single question is ₹25 per question .
Application Procedure
Students must use their core board login details, including Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID, to access the application portal on cbse.gov.in or cbseit.in .
