The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) expects to release the 10th board second-term results for approximately 6.6 lakh students shortly. Following the result declaration, the board will open the verification of marks and re-evaluation process. Students who appeared for either or both examinations are eligible to apply. Class 11 Admissions Under New Policy
Under CBSE's new two-board policy, Class 11 admissions will commence after both board examinations results are released. The board will issue final mark sheets and passing certificates in July. Schools must then open admissions and offer seats based on students' final scores.
Schools that have already started the academic year must honor the final results and adjust admissions accordingly. The Mathematics score is a key factor for many schools when offering subject choices. CBSE allows students who took Basic Mathematics to appear for Standard Mathematics in the second board exam, and vice versa.
Class 11 Registration Requirements
CBSE requires a registration process for Class 11 students. This involves submitting student enrollment details to the board for the next academic year's List of Candidates (LOC). Students appearing for Class 12 board examinations in 2028 must register as Class 11 students in 2026.
This registration list includes students' chosen subjects, which aids the board's academic and examination planning. The registration process typically takes three to four weeks.
