CAT 2026 Registration Details

The CAT 2026 exam will be conducted by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). The computer-based test is scheduled for November 2026. Hundreds of test centers will be available across India. Applicants should register early to secure their preferred test locations.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for CAT 2026, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline. A minimum of 50% marks is required for the General, OBC, and EWS categories. Reserved categories, including SC, ST, and PwD, need a minimum of 45% marks . Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply provisionally. There is no age limit or attempt limit for CAT.

How to Apply

The application process is entirely online. Candidates must first register on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. This registration will generate a unique User ID and Password. Applicants will then complete the application form with personal and academic details. They will also select their preferred IIM programs and test cities. Uploading a photograph, signature, and relevant certificates is required. The final step involves paying the application fee and submitting the form. Applicants should print a confirmation page after submission.

Application Fee and Key Dates

The application fee for CAT 2026 is set at ₹2,500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories. Candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories will pay ₹1,250 . These fees are non-refundable. Payment can be made online via net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
