Fewer students have applied for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 this year. Latest data shows a noticeable drop in registrations for the national-level MBA entrance exam. Only 2.95 lakh candidates have applied for CAT 2025. This is 34,000 less than last year’s 3.29 lakh applicants.
IIM Kozhikode, which is organising CAT 2025, shared these numbers. Admit cards for the 2.95 lakh eligible candidates are now ready. Students can download their admit cards from the official CAT website using their login details. The admit card download window is from November 12 to November 30, 2025 . CAT Registrations See a Drop from Last Year
The number of applications for CAT has gone down after two years of increasing numbers. In CAT 2024, a total of 3.29 lakh candidates had applied. For CAT 2023, the number was slightly higher at 3.30 lakh . This means CAT 2025 has seen a drop of 34,000 applicants compared to CAT 2024 and 35,000 compared to CAT 2023, which was a record high.
Before these high numbers, CAT 2022 had 2.55 lakh applicants. The number of applications had steadily increased in 2023 and 2024, reaching new peaks. However, this year marks a reversal of that trend. The current number of applications is similar to levels seen in 2019.
How to Download CAT 2025 Admit Card
All candidates who successfully registered for CAT 2025 can download their admit cards online. Here are the steps to follow:

- Enter your CAT application login ID and password.
- Your admit card will appear on the screen.
