PATNA: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has again extended the deadline for students to register for the Intermediate (Class 12) Board Examinations 2026. All students now have until November 6, 2025 , to complete their registration. This is an important update for thousands of students preparing for their Class 12 board exams in Bihar.

New Registration Deadline for Class 12 Exams

The BSEB officially announced this extension through its social media channels. School principals and heads of institutions must make sure all their students complete the online registration process by the new date. They are also responsible for carefully checking the dummy registration cards of all students. Any mistakes found on these cards must be corrected before the final submission to the board.

Why the Deadline Was Extended

The Bihar board has extended this deadline to help students who could not register earlier. This means students who faced difficulties or missed the previous deadlines now have another chance. The board aims to ensure that no eligible student misses out on appearing for the Intermediate Examination 2026 due to registration issues. This step shows the board's commitment to supporting students across the state.

Important Instructions for Schools

Schools have a big responsibility in this process. Principals must ensure every detail filled for their students is correct. This includes:

  • Student's full name
  • Parents' or guardian's names
  • Date of birth
  • Chosen subjects for the examination
  • Student's category (e.g., General, OBC, SC, ST)

The board has also given clear instructions to schools whose recognition is currently suspended or being reviewed. Even these schools must complete the registration of their eligible students within the new timeframe. If these schools do not register their students in time, those students may not be allowed to sit for the Intermediate Examination 2026. This highlights the serious nature of the deadline.

What Students Must Do: Check Your Dummy Card

Students must be very careful when they receive their dummy registration cards. A dummy registration card is a temporary document that shows all your details as registered with the board. It is given so you can check for errors before the final admit card is made.

Steps to follow:

  1. Get Your Dummy Card: Collect your dummy registration card from your school as soon as it is available.
  2. Review All Details: Read every piece of information on the card. Check your name, your parents' names, your date of birth, and the subjects you plan to take. Also, confirm your photo and signature are correct.
  3. Identify Any Mistakes: If you find any error, no matter how small, point it out immediately. Common errors include spelling mistakes in names, incorrect dates of birth, or wrong subject combinations.
  4. Report to Your School: All corrections must be made through your school. Inform your school principal or the assigned teacher about the errors. They will then help you get these changes made with the BSEB.
  5. Understand the Importance: Fixing mistakes now is very important. Any error on the dummy card will appear on your final admit card and eventually on your marksheet. This can cause major problems for future studies or job applications. Make sure all your details are 100% accurate.

Ignoring errors on the dummy registration card can lead to serious problems later, including being barred from the examination or having incorrect results. Ensure all your details are correct well before the final deadline.
