Admission and Cutoff Information
Students who meet the BITSAT cutoff scores will be eligible for admission to B.E. programmes. The cutoff score can vary each year depending on factors like the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exam. For popular branches like Computer Science and Electronics & Communication at BITS Pilani, a score between 320-330 is generally considered good. Scores above 250 can also lead to admission in popular branches at other BITS campuses.
BITS Pilani also offers M.Sc. (5-Year Integrated Dual Degree) programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, and Biological Sciences across its campuses. The BITSAT exam also serves as the basis for admission to these courses.
For admission, candidates must also meet the academic eligibility criteria, which include an aggregate of 75% in PCM (or PCB for B.Pharm) in Class 12, with at least 60% marks in each individual subject.
What to Avoid
Candidates should not bring the following items to the exam centre: mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, earphones, headphones, or any digital gadgets.
The BITSAT exam is known for its transparent, merit-based admission system. The institute also offers scholarships for top-ranking students. The second session of BITSAT 2026 is scheduled from May 24 to May 26.
