Birkbeck Bengaluru: UK Degrees at 60% Less Tuition

Birkbeck, University of London will launch its first international campus in Bengaluru. The University Grants Commission (UGC) issued a Letter of Intent on April 14, 2026 , to establish the campus. The Indian government has approved this move.

UK Degrees at Lower Cost

The Bengaluru campus will offer UK degrees. Tuition fees will be approximately 60 percent lower than Birkbeck's London campus. This aims to make British higher education more accessible to Indian students. The reduction covers tuition and avoids overseas living expenses.

Birkbeck states academic standards will remain identical to its London campus. The curriculum focuses on research-led teaching. It will also integrate industry needs. This ensures graduates possess relevant job skills.

Campus Location and Programs

The campus will be located at Sattva Tech Park in Bengaluru. This location is chosen for its technology industry presence. Birkbeck aims to build industry partnerships. Students will have internship and job opportunities.

Initial course offerings include undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Business Analytics. Postgraduate programs will cover International Business and Business Analytics.

Prospective students can visit birbeck.ac.in/bengaluru to view degree options. Applicants must create a profile. They need to submit academic records from Class 12 or undergraduate studies. A Statement of Purpose (SOP) is required. Applicants may need to provide proof of English proficiency.
