Teacher Transfer Rules Updated
In addition to the university approvals, the Bihar Cabinet also passed the Teacher Transfer Rule 2026 . This rule will govern the movement of teachers, headmasters, and principals. The system will operate through a portal.
The rules allow for transfers based on specific grounds. Female teachers can transfer for health reasons. They can also transfer for spouse posting or disabilities. Family circumstances are another ground for transfer. Female teachers may transfer from their home panchayat.
Male teachers can also apply for transfers. Grounds include addressing staff shortages. This helps balance teacher-student ratios. Transfers can also occur from a home block to a nearby block within the same district.
