Banaras Hindu University (BHU) released its CUET Round 2 cutoff 2026 and the Centralized Admission Process (CAP-UG) seat allotment results on August 5, 2026. Candidates can check their status on the official admission portal.

CAP-UG Round 2 Results Announced

The second round of seat allotment for undergraduate admissions at BHU is now available. This follows the announcement of the Round 1 cutoff and allotment results on August 1. Candidates offered a seat in this round must confirm their provisional admission. This involves reviewing the allotment letter and paying the required seat confirmation fee before the specified deadline.

Students who selected the 'float' or 'slide' option in Round 1 will receive upgraded preferences. This is contingent on their merit position and the availability of seats in their higher-choice courses. Applicants not allotted a seat in Round 2, or those seeking a different course, are automatically eligible for subsequent counseling rounds.

How to Check Cutoff and Allotment

To access the BHU CUET Round 2 cutoff and seat allotment results, follow these steps:

  • Visit the official BHU admission website: admission.bhu.ac.in .
  • Navigate to the CAP-UG 2026 section on the homepage.
  • Click on the link for "BHU CUET Round 2 Cutoff/CAP-UG Round 2 Seat Allotment Result."
  • Log in using your CUET application number and password or date of birth.
  • View your category-wise Round 2 cutoff marks and seat allotment status.

Candidates can download the official cutoff PDF. They should also print their seat allotment letter for their records.

Next Steps After Seat Allocation

Once a seat is allocated, candidates have two primary options:

  • Accept & Freeze/Float: If satisfied with the allotted seat, select 'Freeze' to confirm admission. To pursue an upgrade in Round 3, choose 'Float/Slide'.
  • Pay Confirmation Fee: Pay the confirmation fee online within the given timeframe. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

All uploaded certificates, including Class 10/12 marksheets and category certificates, must match the information provided during CUET registration. Verification of these documents is a crucial part of the admission process.

Further Counseling Rounds

BHU also provides course-wise cutoff marks ranges on its public portal dashboard. Candidates not allotted a seat in Round 2 will be considered for future counseling rounds. The university will continue the admission process until all seats are filled.
