The Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination (BBOSE) has started taking applications for students who want their answer sheets re-checked. This process is called 'scrutiny' or 're-evaluation'. Students who took the BBOSE Secondary Examination in December 2024 and received their results on November 16, 2025 , can now apply if they believe there was a mistake in their marks.
This is an important update for all Bihar Board students. If you think your answer sheet was not marked correctly, you have a chance to get it reviewed. The BBOSE has given a short time frame for this application process.
Key Dates and Fees for Re-evaluation
Students must apply online for re-evaluation. Applications will be open for only a few days. Make sure you apply within these dates:

The fee of ₹200 must be paid for each subject you want to get re-checked. Please note that this fee will not be given back, even if your marks do not change or go down after re-evaluation. Students can choose to apply for re-checking in any number of subjects they want.
How to Apply for Re-evaluation Online
Applying for scrutiny is a simple online process. Follow these steps carefully:
- First, visit the official website for scrutiny applications: https://biharboardscrutiny.com .
- Look for the link that says "Apply for scrutiny (BBOSE Secondary Examination December-2024)" and click on it.
- You will need to enter your exam details. Type in your Roll Number , Roll Code , Date of Birth , and the Captcha Code shown on the screen. Then click "LOG IN".
- After logging in, you will see a list of your subjects. Tick the boxes next to the subjects you want to apply for re-checking.
- Next, click on the "Fee Payment" button (it might also say "Make Payment"). You can pay the fee using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
- Once your payment is successful, it is important to download and print the Acknowledgment Receipt. This receipt is proof that you have applied and paid for the re-evaluation.
Important Points to Remember
Before you fill out the re-evaluation form, keep these points in mind:
- You can only apply online. No applications sent by post or any other method will be accepted.
- Applications must be sent only within the given dates, from November 19, 2025 , to November 23, 2025 . Late applications will not be processed.
- The fee you pay for re-evaluation will not be refunded under any situation.
- During scrutiny, your answer sheet will be checked again based on the original rules of evaluation. This means examiners will re-check if all answers were marked, if marks were counted correctly, and if there were any unchecked questions.
- Your marks may change after re-evaluation. They can go up, go down, or stay exactly the same.
- The new result, if your marks change, will be put on the official BBOSE website. You should check the website regularly for updates after applying.
