How to Qualify for APSET 2026
To qualify for the APSET 2026 exam, candidates must achieve a minimum percentage of marks. For general category candidates, the qualifying mark is 40% . This means scoring at least 120 marks out of a total of 300 marks across both Paper I and Paper II. For candidates belonging to reserved categories (like SC, ST, OBC, etc.), the qualifying mark is 35% , which is 105 marks out of 300.
However, simply getting the qualifying score does not guarantee you will receive the APSET certificate. Only the top 6% of all candidates who appeared in both papers and qualified in each subject and category will be awarded the APSET certificate. This certificate is valid for a lifetime and is required for applying for Assistant Professor or Lecturer positions in colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh.
