The Andhra Pradesh State Admission Cell has released the first list of college seats for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2025. This list is for students seeking admission to law courses in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who took part in the first round of counselling can now check which college they have been allotted. The list became available online today, October 25, 2025 . Students whose names are on this list must visit their assigned colleges soon for document verification.

This seat allotment is a crucial step for students aiming to study law through the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) for five-year or three-year LLB courses, and the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (AP PGLCET) for LLM courses. The counselling process helps students secure seats in various law colleges across the state based on their merit and preferences.

Important Dates for Phase 1 Allotment

Here are the key dates for candidates to remember regarding the Phase 1 seat allotment and college reporting:

EventDate
AP LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 Phase 1 Seat Allotment Release October 25, 2025
Start Date for College Reporting and Certificate Verification October 27, 2025
End Date for College Reporting and Certificate Verification October 29, 2025

It is important for all students to complete the reporting process within these dates to confirm their admission. Missing these deadlines might lead to losing the allotted seat.

How to Check Your Seat Allotment

Candidates can easily check their seat allotment status online by following these simple steps:

Step-by-step Guide

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) counselling portal. The website address is lawcet-sche.aptonline.in/LAWCET . This is where all official updates are posted.
  • Find the Allotment Link: On the homepage, look for a link or tab that says ' Allotment Order & Self Login '. Click on this link. Alternatively, you might see a ' College Wise Allotment ' option, which shows seats filled in each college.
  • Enter Your Details: You will need to enter your hall ticket number (from your exam admit card) and your date of birth . Make sure these details are correct.
  • Download Allotment Letter: If you have been allotted a seat, an 'Allotment Letter' will appear on your screen. This letter confirms your provisional admission to a specific college and course.
  • Save and Print: Download this allotment letter in PDF format. It is wise to take several printouts of this letter. You will need it for future reference and during college reporting.
  • Check All Details: Read all the information mentioned in the allotment letter carefully. It will include your name, allotted college, course, and other important instructions.

Documents Needed for College Reporting

When you go to the allotted college for verification, you must carry a set of important documents. Make sure you have both original copies and photocopies of each document.

List of Essential Certificates

  • Aadhar Card or Valid ID Proof: This document confirms your identity.
  • AP LAWCET 2025 Rank Card: The card showing your rank in the entrance examination.
  • Class 10th Marksheet: To verify your date of birth and basic education.
  • Class 12th Marksheet: To confirm your intermediate education details.
  • Qualifying Exam Provisional/Degree Certificate: This is for your graduation or the exam you passed to become eligible for LAWCET/PGLCET.
  • Migration Certificate: If you are moving from one university or board to another, this might be required.
  • Residence Certificate: To prove you are a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Caste Certificate: If you belong to a reserved category, this certificate, attested by the proper authority, is needed.
  • Latest Parental Income Certificate: This certificate, issued by the M.R.O. (Mandal Revenue Officer) by the Government of Telangana (as per original text, likely referring to Andhra Pradesh in this context, or it's a general instruction that might have been carried forward), is important for fee concessions or scholarships.

Without these documents, your admission might not be confirmed. Prepare them carefully before visiting the college.

What Happens After Phase 1 Counselling?

Once the first phase of counselling is over, two main things can happen:

  • If You Got a Seat: You must report to the college within the given dates ( October 27 to October 29, 2025 ) with all your documents to secure your admission.
  • If You Did Not Get a Seat: If you could not get a seat in Phase 1, or if you are not happy with the college allotted, you might have another chance.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will announce the schedule for Phase 2 counselling later. This second phase will only take place if there are still empty seats left after the first round of admissions is complete. Keep checking the official website for updates on Phase 2 counselling.
