The online application portal for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2027 is now open. National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) released the application form on August 7, 2026. The deadline for submission is November 10, 2026. Candidates can apply online at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
AILET 2027 is the admission test for the 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), 1-year LL.M., and Ph.D. programs. The exam will take place nationwide on December 13, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program must have achieved at least 45% aggregate marks in their 10+2 examinations. For the LL.M. course, candidates need a minimum of 50% marks in their LL.B. degree.
Relaxations in eligibility marks are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Registration Fee
The application fee for candidates in the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories is ₹3,000 .
Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories will pay a fee of ₹1,000 .
How to Apply
The application process is entirely online. Prospective students must first create a candidate profile on the NLU Delhi website. This involves providing a valid email ID and phone number to receive login credentials via OTP.
Following profile creation, applicants will log in to select their desired program. The next steps include filling in personal and academic details, choosing up to three preferred test cities, and uploading necessary documents.
Applicants must upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and their category certificate. Specific size and format requirements for these documents are detailed on the NLU Delhi website.
The final step is to pay the application fee online. Candidates should carefully review all entered information before final submission. NLU Delhi does not participate in CLAT counseling.

The AILET 2027 exam is scheduled for December 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The examination will be conducted in an offline, pen-and-paper format. The UG question paper consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), carrying a total of 150 marks. There is a negative marking of -0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
