NLU Delhi is expected to commence the registration process for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) examination starting 7th August 2025. Interested students will have till 10th November 2025 to apply for the AILET 2026 examination. The AILET exam will take place on 14th December 2025.

The AILET exam will allow students to get admission into NLU Delhi. Unlike other NLUs, NLU Delhi is not part of the Consortium of NLUs. The college conducts the AILET examination separately. Students cannot give the CLAT examination to get admission into NLU Delhi, unlike other NLUs.

AILET 2026 Registration Process Explained

Provided below is a simple step-by-step overview of how students can register themselves for the AILET 2026 examination. Following these steps can ensure students face minimum hassle or problems when attempting to register for the examination.

The AILET 2026 registration process is as follows:

  1. Students must first visit the official AILET website atnludelhi.ac.in.
  2. Students will first be required to register using their email address, date of birth and password.
  3. Upon doing so, students will have created their AILET ID. They should then login using their newly acquired credentials.
  4. Students will then be required to fill-in the AILET registration form. All personal and academic details submitted here must be accurate and up-to-date.
  5. Students will then also be required to upload scanned copies of a photograph of themselves and their signature.
  6. To complete the AILET registration process, students must then pay the required registration fees. Without paying the fees, students will not be considered to have registered.

AILET 2026 Eligibility

Students looking to give the AILET 2026 examination must meet the listed eligibility criteria. If students do not meet the minimum eligibility, they will not be allowed to give the AILET exam. The criteria is as follows:

  • Must have completed their LLB from a recognized law school in India.
