The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has opened online registration for the SSSJKL Scholarship 2026-27. This scholarship is part of the PM-USP Yojana. It targets students from Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) and Ladakh pursuing higher education outside their home regions. The aim is to provide financial aid and promote national integration.
Scholarship Eligibility
Students who completed 10+2 from JKBOSE or CBSE schools in J&K/Ladakh during the 2024-25 or 2025-26 academic years are eligible. Engineering diploma holders seeking lateral entry into the second year of B.E./B.Tech programs can also apply. A key requirement is that the applicant's family annual income must not exceed ₹8.0 Lakh.
Financial Assistance Details
The scholarship provides financial support through academic fee reimbursement and an annual maintenance allowance. The academic fee reimbursement varies by course category. General degree courses receive up to ₹30,000 per year. Professional courses, including engineering, nursing, and law, are covered up to ₹1.25 Lakh annually. Medical courses, such as MBBS and BDS, are eligible for up to ₹3.0 Lakh per year.
All selected scholars will also receive an annual maintenance allowance of ₹1.0 Lakh. This amount is distributed in 10 equal monthly installments directly into the student's bank account.
How to Apply
Interested applicants must register on the official website: aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in . The application process is entirely online. Candidates will need to upload scanned copies of required documents. These include mark sheets, domicile certificates, income proof, and Aadhaar cards.
After online registration, applicants must physically appear at a designated Facilitation cum Document Verification Center (FDVC). They need to bring all original documents for verification. Following successful verification, candidates can log back into the portal to fill in their institute choices for online counseling.
