The application deadline for the AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme (IFP) 2026 has been extended to July 5, 2026 . Eligible faculty members from technical institutions can now submit their applications online.
AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme Details
The IFP aims to provide faculty with hands-on industry experience. Participants will work with industry partners to learn about current technologies and real-world practices. This acquired knowledge can enhance classroom teaching, improving student skills and employability.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet specific requirements to be considered for the IFP. These include:
- A minimum of 5 years of full-time teaching experience .
- Contractual, ad-hoc, or part-time visiting faculty are ineligible.
- The maximum age limit is 50 years as of May 26, 2026.
Candidates must also satisfy at least one of the following academic or research criteria:
- Qualified in examinations such as GATE, CRE, CAT, MAT, JRF, SRF, NET, or equivalent postgraduate/doctoral entrance exams.
- Published at least five research papers in Scopus or Web of Science indexed journals.
- Completed a government-funded project valued at a minimum of ₹15 lakhs.
- Received a Young Scientist Award or other recognized proficiency award from a central or state government university.
A nomination letter and a no-objection certificate from the applicant's parent institution are mandatory for all applications.
