The Bar Council of India (BCI) has introduced an important change for students who recently appeared in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 20) 2025. This exam is crucial for law graduates who wish to practice law in India. For the first time, candidates will now have to pay a fee of INR 500 for each question they wish to challenge in the provisional answer key. This new rule was announced recently and marks a shift from previous exams where no fee was charged for raising objections.

The AIBE 20 exam was conducted on November 30, 2025 . Following the exam, the provisional answer key was released on December 3, 2025 . Students were given a window to check this answer key and raise any concerns they had about the correctness of the answers provided. Under the new system, this objection window will remain open until December 10, 2025 , at 11:59 pm. Students must submit any challenges they have before this deadline.

New Objection Fee and Refund Policy Explained

Previously, students could submit objections to the answer key without any cost. However, as per the new guidelines from the BCI, a charge of INR 500 will be applied for every single objection raised. This means if a student wishes to challenge three questions, they would need to pay INR 1500 (3 x INR 500).

A key point of this new policy is the refund system. The BCI has clearly stated that if an objection raised by a candidate is reviewed and found to be valid and correct, the INR 500 fee for that specific objection will be fully refunded. This ensures that students are not unfairly charged for legitimate concerns about the answer key. Only objections that are found to be incorrect or unsupported will incur the fee.

Once all objections are received and carefully reviewed by the BCI, they will release the AIBE 20 Final Answer Key 2025 . This final answer key will reflect any changes made due to valid objections. The official AIBE 2025 results will then be declared based on this revised final answer key.

Steps to Raise an Objection on AIBE 20 Answer Key

Candidates who wish to challenge an answer in the provisional key must follow these steps online:

  • Go to the official website of the All India Bar Examination.
  • Look for and click on the "Objection filing link."
  • A new page will open with the "AIBE Objection" form.
  • On this form, you need to select your Question Paper Booklet Set (e.g., Set A, B, C, or D).
  • Then, choose the Question Number you believe has an incorrect answer.
  • Fill in your suggested correct answer and provide clear remarks or reasons for your objection.
  • You must attach proof (like a scan of a relevant textbook page or legal document) to support your claim. This proof is essential for your objection to be considered.
  • After adding all objections, a payment screen will show the total amount. This is calculated by multiplying INR 500 by the number of questions you are challenging.
  • Finally, complete the payment and submit your AIBE 20 objection form. Remember, submissions are only accepted online.

Students are advised to carefully review their objections and supporting documents before submission to ensure accuracy and avoid any issues with the refund process.
