Important Rules for AIAPGET Round 3 Choice Filling
Students must carefully read and understand these rules before filling their choices. These rules help students make the right decisions during the third round of counselling.
- Understand Upgrade and Exit Rules: Students must clearly understand the rules about changing or leaving a seat they have been offered. This knowledge is very important before a student makes any choices. Misunderstanding these rules can lead to losing a seat or becoming ineligible for future counselling rounds.
- Decide on Upgrading from Earlier Rounds: When filling choices in Round 3, students must decide if they wish to try for a better seat. This applies if they have already received and joined a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 of the counselling process. This choice is a key step in Round 3.
- If You Choose 'YES' for Upgrade:
- Choosing 'YES' means a student wants to move to a higher-preference seat than their current one.
- If the student successfully gets a new seat in Round 3, their previously joined seat from Round 1 or Round 2 will be automatically cancelled. This cancellation makes the old seat available for other students.
- The student then has a duty to leave their Round 1 or Round 2 institution.
- After completing the exit process from the old institute, the student must join the new institute allotted to them in Round 3. Joining the new institute is compulsory.
- If You Choose 'NO' for Upgrade:
- If a student selects 'NO' for upgrading, it means they are happy with the seat they currently hold from Round 2. They do not wish to try for a different seat.
- In this situation, the student will continue their studies at the institute they joined after Round 2. They will not be considered for any new seat in the AIAPGET Round 3 allotment.
- No Free Exit in Round 3:
- Round 3 of AIAPGET counselling does not offer a "free exit" option.
- This means if a student is allotted any seat in Round 3, they are required to join that specific institute. There is no option to refuse the seat without facing consequences.
- This rule ensures that seats are not wasted and are filled by committed students.
- Ineligibility for Future Counselling:
- Students who do not receive any seat during the AIAPGET Round 3 allotment will become ineligible for future Central or State-level postgraduate AYUSH counselling rounds.
- This also applies to students who had a seat in Round 1 or 2, chose 'NO' for upgrade in Round 3, and then decided to withdraw from their Round 1/2 seat. Such students will also be marked as ineligible for any further Ayush PG counselling conducted by Central, State, or Union Territory authorities.
- In these cases, the counselling fee paid by the student will not be returned. It will be forfeited.
- Fill Choices Carefully: It is important for students to think very carefully and fill their choices wisely. The preferences they enter and their decisions about upgrading will determine their admission. Students should make sure their choices reflect their true interest and ranking.
What Happens After Choice Filling?
After all students fill their choices, the AACCC will take some time to process the applications. This seat allocation process usually takes about 2 days.
