The Indian Air Force (IAF) is currently accepting online applications for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1 2026. Students who wish to join the IAF as officers must apply by December 14, 2025 . The AFCAT 1 2026 examination is set to take place on January 31, 2026 .

AFCAT 1 2026 Exam Structure and Selection

The AFCAT 1 2026 exam will test candidates in four main sections:

  • General Awareness
  • Verbal Ability in English
  • Numerical Ability
  • Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test

The exam will be for a total of 300 marks . Be aware that marks will be deducted for wrong answers. Candidates who pass this online test will then move to the next stage, which is the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in both the online test and the AFSB Interview.
