Adani Enterprises, represented by Managing Director Pranav Adani, has launched a scholarship program for IIM Calcutta MBA students. The initiative provides full MBA scholarships to six students annually. The program also offers 200 bicycles for campus use. The announcement occurred during the MBA 63rd Batch Orientation Programme.
Scholarship Details
The scholarships are part of the Adani Accelerated Leadership Programme (AALP). This program aims to support student development. It also seeks to improve campus accessibility for students.
Eligibility and Selection
To be eligible, students must be admitted to the IIM Calcutta MBA program. The selection process is merit-based. An internal committee at IIM Calcutta assesses candidates. They consider past academic performance and other committee-defined criteria.
Scholarship Application Process
Students first complete their MBA program enrollment at IIM Calcutta. The application process begins after the academic year starts. Interested students should contact the IIM Calcutta Financial Aid Office. This should occur at the start of the academic session. Students will receive evaluation parameters, official guidelines, and submission deadlines from the office.
Bicycle Distribution
In addition to scholarships, 200 bicycles are provided. These bicycles aid student commuting across the campus. This initiative is part of an ongoing collaboration between Adani Enterprises and IIM Calcutta.
Pranav Adani addressed the students at the orientation. He spoke about taking ownership and resilience in a changing business environment. He encouraged students to become leaders and maximize opportunities.
