16 Students Develop 4 Tech Solutions for Delhi Police

Sixteen students developed four technology solutions for the Delhi Police. The projects aim to improve citizen services. Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar recognized the students for their work. The awards ceremony took place at police headquarters.

Summer Internship Program Delivers Tech Solutions

The Delhi Police Summer Internship Programme ran for two months. It began on June 8 . More than 400 students applied. Sixteen were selected for the program. Students worked on real-world police challenges. They used their technical skills to create solutions. The program focused on modernizing police operations. Projects addressed administrative tasks. They also streamlined internal processes.

The Delhi Police announced the initiative on its X account. The post highlighted empowering young minds. Technology would drive smarter, citizen-centric policing. The slogan used was "Young Minds. Real Challenges. Smart Policing." The program involved 400+ applications and 16 student innovators.

Participating Institutions and Focus Areas

Students came from leading Delhi-based institutions. These included IIT Delhi, Delhi Technological University, and Jamia Hamdard. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology also participated. Students received mentorship. Officers from the Delhi Police Tech and Project Implementation Division guided them.

The four developed technology solutions contribute to digitalization efforts. The program connected academic institutions with the police force. It provided students with practical experience. They explored technology-based solutions for policing issues.
