About the Internship
This internship provides exposure to full-cycle product management in the e-commerce publishing space. Interns will own assigned books end-to-end: from market research and quality control to launch and post-launch tracking, while coordinating with internal stakeholders like design, social media, and editorial.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct category-specific market research on Amazon
2. Identify gaps, content opportunities, and pricing benchmarks
3. Analyse competitor listings for content quality, reviews, and keyword density
4. Audit manuscript structure, illustrations, formatting, and metadata
5. Check internal consistency across title, subtitle, keywords, and description
6. Flag design or content quality issues with the creative/editorial teams
7. Ensure compliance with Amazon KDP publishing standards (print & digital)
8. Final book check before upload (cover, interior, metadata, ISBN, pricing)
9. Coordinate with publishing, design, and editorial to meet launch timelines
10. Ensure stakeholder accountability using internal trackers and checklists
11. Monitor book metrics: BSR, reviews, star ratings, page reads (if enrolled in KU)
12. Identify low-performing books and suggest iterations or relaunch options
13. Interface with social media, design, and editorial teams for launch readiness
