About the Internship
Day-to-day responsibilities include:- Manage end-to-end hiring across roles — from crafting role descriptions and posting opportunities to coordinating interviews and closing offers
- Source candidates thoughtfully, ensuring alignment with Avaesa’s values and culture
- Coordinate external partnerships and collaborations, including onboarding, documentation, and communication
- Maintain and organise HR documentation such as contracts, policies, onboarding kits, and compliance records
- Set up and refine people processes suited to a small and growing team
- Manage attendance, leave tracking, and basic employee data with confidentiality and accuracy
- Support performance conversations and feedback cycles in a structured and humane manner
- Identify learning needs within the team and suggest relevant interventions
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including internal sessions, external workshops, and self-directed learning pathways
- Assist in developing training materials and facilitation resources for internal use
- Support the organisation in building the people and organisational foundation of Avaesa
- Contribute to defining team structure, role clarity, and hiring roadmaps
- Help shape a culture that balances professionalism with sensitivity and depth
- Bring in research and insights on HR practices relevant to small and scaling organisations
- Support initiatives around team engagement, growth, and retention
