About the Internship
As a furniture designer intern at House Of Barreto, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced carpentry team to create stunning and functional furniture pieces for our clients. Your knowledge of AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, and sketching will be put to the test as you contribute to the design process from concept development to final product creation.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with master crafstmen to generate innovative furniture designs that meet client needs.
2. Use AutoCAD and Google SketchUp to create detailed 2D and 3D models of furniture pieces for client presentations.
3. Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, and hardware for furniture projects.
4. Conduct research on current design trends and techniques to stay ahead of the curve in the furniture industry.
5. Work with the production team to ensure that designs are accurately translated into finished products.
6. Attend client meetings and presentations to gain insight into client preferences and feedback.
7. Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives to the team.
