GGSIPU CET 2020 Syllabus

For BTECH

All applicants are required to appear for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University will not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper 1 for its admissions. 

For BTECHBT

  • Physics (upto 12th Level)-(20%)
  • Chemistry (upto 12th Level)-(20%) 
  • Mathematics(upto 12th Level)-(20%)
  • Biology (Botany and Zoology) (upto 12th Level)– (40%) or Biotechnology (upto 12th Level)-(40%) 

For LEBTECH (BSC)

  • B.Sc Level Mathematics- (40%)
  • English (10+2 level)-(20%)
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning (20%)
  • Scientific Aptitude - (20%)

For LEBTECH (DIPLOMA)

  • Applied Mechanics-(25) 
  • Applied Mathematics-(25%) 
  • Computer Awareness and Physics / Chemistry Related Knowledge-(25%)
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning-(25%)

For BBA

  • English Language & Comprehension – (25%)
  • General Awareness- (25%)
  • Logical and Analytical Ability- (25%)
  • Aptitude relating to the field of Management and Communication Skills- (25%)

For BCOM

  • General English – (25%) 
  • Logical Reasoning- (25%)
  • Data Interpretation – (35%)
  • General Awareness- (15%) 

For BCA

  • English Language & Comprehension (15%)
  • Mathematics – (30%)
  • Computer Awareness- (30%)
  • General Knowledge- IT and Science Related – (25%)

For MBA

All admissions shall be made on the basis of the merit of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 that was conducted by Indian Institute of Management‟s on a rotational basis. The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of prepared on the basis of normalized CAT score for its admissions.

For MBA(IT)

  • English Language & Comprehension
  • Numerical Ability & Mathematics
  • Logical Reasoning & Data interpretation 
  • Computer Science

For MCA

All applicants are required to appear in NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2019 that is conducted by National Institute of Technology‟s on a rotational basis. The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit prepared on the basis of NIMCET Merit for its admissions. 

For MAMC

  • Communication Skills- English (30%)
  • Current Affairs- (20%)
  • General Knowledge- (20%)
  • Mass Media (Print/ TV/ Radio/ Film/ New Media)- (30%) 

For LLB

All applicants are required to appear in Common Law Admission Test – Under Graduate, 2019 (CLAT – UG, 2019) that is conducted by National Law University‟s on a rotational basis. The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit prepared on the basis of (CLAT – UG, 2019) Merit for its admissions. 

For BED

  • English Comprehension- 15%
  • Mental Ability and Reasoning - 40%
  • General Awareness – 25%
  • Aptitude for Teaching – 20%

The Question Paper will be set both in English and Hindi Language (Except the English Comprehension Section which shall only be in english).

GGSIPU CET 2020 Exam Pattern

IPU CET 2019 will be conducted in an offline mode from April 21, 2019 to May 20, 2019. The IPU CET Exam Pattern as well as the nature of question varies along for each programme. 

Following are the details IPU CET 2019 Exam Pattern:

Exam Pattern of the CET (Except for National Level Test based admissions):

1. The test paper will contain 150 objective-type questions in all for all CETs (except for M.A.(English) in which the Part 1 shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions while Part 2 shall be essay type questions). Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked as (1), (2), (3) and (4) (though M.A.(English) shall have essay type questions also). Out of these for multiple choice questions, only one correct; or most appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet.

2. Each multiple choice question shall carry four marks. There will be negative marking for incorrect answer. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

3. The written test will be of two and a half hour duration and will carry 600 marks.

4. The medium of the tests will be English only except for BED for which the test shall be in English and Hindi.

5. Candidates should bring a black ball point to the Examination hall for writing/marking responses (darkening the ovals) on OMR answer sheets. Use of pencil is not allowed.

6. For those who are unable to appear in the test on the scheduled date for any reason, retest will not be held by the University under any circumstances. No refund of fee is permissible. 

National Level Test Based Admissions

The University will not conduct any CET, all candidates desirous to take admissions in these programmes of study(s) have to appear in the appropriate National Level Tests.
