BSc Botany Subjects and Syllabus Overview

The BSc Botany course is a 3 year undergraduate program that mainly deals with the study, research and analysis of plants. The course delves into and provides deep insight into flora and the various topics that encompass it. Over the course of the 3 years while studying the BSc Botany course, students will study various subjects as a part of its syllabus such as microbiology, economic botany, genetics, cytology and plant ecology amongst a wide field of plant and flora related studies.

Besides core courses, students will have a lot of opportunities to take up various electives that cater to their interests with relation to the study of plants which could help them in their future education as well as careers. BSc Botany Course Structure

The BSc Botany course is for the duration of 3 years with 6 semesters. The course provides a strong background with its core courses as a part of its curriculum during its 6 semesters. However, the course also consists of elective courses where students will be able to broaden their horizons as to what careers they can pursue in the field of Botany as well as electives that are more focused on their particular field or discipline.
