The establishment of St. Francis Institute of Technology, Mumbai took place in the academic year of 1999 as an engineering college. The primary aim of establishing the institute was to fulfill the need of an Institute of Excellence for students coming from different segments of society. Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the institute must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the institute.

  • Admission to B. E. requires a pass in senior secondary school securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
  • Candidates seeking admission to M. E. must possess a bachelor's degree i.e. B. E./B. Tech degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
  • Admission to Ph. D. requires a master's degree in the relevant field.
