St Francis College is an autonomous minority college established in 1959 in Begumpet, Hyderabad. It is affiliated to Osmania University and recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC). UGC has declared the college as College with “Potential for Excellence and NAAC has accredited with it “A” grade. The institute is set up in the heart of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secundrabad and is spread over 8-acres of land. The institute has an average strength of 3200 students with over 160 teaching and 110 non-teaching members. St. Francis College for Women offers courses in various fields at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level. It offers UG and PG courses namely B.Sc., B.A., B.Com., B.M.S., B. Voc., and Post Graduate courses namely M.Sc., M.A., and M.Com.

Autonomy and Accreditation of St. Francis College for Women:
The college was conferred the status of ‘Autonomous’ by the University Grant Commission in the year 1988.
The college was accredited with 5 stars by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 1999. Later, reaccredited at the ‘A’ level in the year 2006 and 2012 respectively.
The college was given the status of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ (CPE) by the University Grant Commission in the year 2004.
IQAC, the institutionalization and internalization of quality in education was formed at St. Francis College for Women in the year 2001, which was based on the guidelines of NAAC.
The courses offered by St. Francis College for Women includes an exciting range of Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes along with numerous Diploma and Certificate programmes. The college follows Choice Based Semester System (CBCS) which was proposed by the University Grant Commission. Through CBCS, students can choose a variety of courses of other streams as well.
