SVITS was established in the year 1998-99 by the JES of Mahabubnagar with a commitment to Engineering & Technology with an emphasis on related Science and Management Education. This academic year 2007-08, the institution is completing 10 years of its academic excellence in the above area. Keeping in view, that Knowledge is Power; the institution is putting unflinching efforts to provide the best facilities for the attainment of quality Technical Education. The Institution which started with 4 Undergraduate courses in engineering with 180 intakes has grown into a big institution with 6 Undergraduate courses with an intake of 420 students and 4 postgraduate courses with an intake of 156. The Institution is conducting Decennial Celebrations during 2007-08 spreading over about 4 months. Curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities besides special functions were conducted without hindrance to the regular class work.
