NIT Manipur Admission Procedure:
Admission procedure for the academic session of NIT Manipur is convenient and time-saving. There are some guidelines for the admission process and these guidelines are decided by the admission committee of the college. NIT Manipur offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in various specializations. NIT Manipur Admission procedure and eligibility criteria vary from course to course.
- Candidates who have secured minimum 75% marks in senior secondary school from a recognized board are qualified to apply for admission to the Undergraduate program.
- They are required to appear and qualify in JEE Main examination followed by national counseling conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
- Candidates seeking admission to Postgraduate program (M.Tech) are required to have a valid score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination.
- M.Sc admissions depend on the scores obtained by the candidate in JAM and followed by the counseling done through CCMN.

NIT Manipur: B.Tech Admission and eligibility
At present, the college offers four-year B.Tech. the program under five specializations namely Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering. Admissions to these courses strictly depend on the marks obtained by the candidates in JEE Main examination followed by JoSAA counseling.

- The minimum eligibility criteria are to have passed 10+2 from science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as 3 of the five subjects securing at least 75% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation is given to the reserved categories)
- Candidates must appear and qualify JEE Main examination with a valid score
- After qualifying the examination they must sit for the counseling which is conducted by JoSAA for seat allocation

- The examination is conducted in both online and offline mode
- The question paper is divided into three parts consisting of questions related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- Each part consists of 30 questions which are to be completed in total three hours
- The question paper is of total 360 marks in which each correct answer is rewarded with +4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer

NIT Manipur: Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Programs
NIT Manipur offers two postgraduate programs M. Tech and M.Sc. While M.Tech is offered under 5 specializations, M.Sc is available under three subjects. Candidates who are willing to apply for M. Tech program should hold a Bachelor’s degree under relevant subject.

- Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in relevant subject (B. Tech/B.E.) securing at least 60% marks in aggregate. Relaxation of 5% is given to the reserved categories
- They are required to have appeared and qualified in GATE examination with a valid score
- After which they have to appear for centralized counseling i.e. CCMT
- Candidates should register themselves for GATE examination by visiting the NIT Manipur’s website. They must keep an eye on further notifications released by the website related to the entrance examination.
- While registering they have to process the payment of INR 1500 (INR 750 for women and RC) as application fee. The payment is made online via NET banking, Debit card, Credit card etc.
- Candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc program can apply for three subjects namely Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates seeking admission must appear and qualify JAM entrance examination.
- JAM is an entrance examination conducted by NIT Rourkela, which helps in admissions to the M.Sc program
- The candidates are required to have appeared and qualified JAM examination with a valid score
- The seats are allocated through centralized counseling (CCMN) and a total of 45 seats are sanctioned
- Candidates must have had Mathematics as their major subject while applying for M.Sc
- They should hold a B.Sc degree in concerned discipline securing at least 55% marks

NIT Manipur BTech Admissions 2024
- NIT Manipur is offering a 4-year B.Tech program in 5 different subjects. The total cost for NIT Manipur BTech is around INR 5.56 Lakhs.
- To be eligible for NIT Manipur BTech the student should have passed your 10+2 exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as your main subjects. The student must possess a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA in your 10+2 exams.
The selection process of NIT Manipur BTech is based on your scores in the JEE Main exam. Additionally, you must participate in the JoSAA Counselling process to secure your final admission.
How to Apply for JEE Main 2023?
Candidates who will meet the eligibility criteria need to follow these steps to complete the JEE Main application process:
- You need to go to the official JEE Main website.
- Next you need to register for the online application form.
- You need to note down the application number generated by the system.
- Then you need to create a highly secure password.
- The student needs to log in once more and complete the application form.
- The students needs to upload scanned copies of their photographs and signature.
- Then the student needs to pay the application fee, which is around 650 INR (or 325 INR for reserved categories), using Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI, or Paytm.
- The student needs to keep the printed copy of the application form for your records and future reference.
How to apply for JOSAA Counseling:
Candidates with a qualifying JEE Main score need to participate in JoSAA counseling. The participants then must follow these steps for registration:
1. The student needs to visit the official JoSAA website registration page.
2. The student then needs to log in using your JEE Main application number.
3. The students then will be required to verify the accuracy of their candidate profile.
4. The students then need to Click ’Submit changes.’
5. The student then needs to fill in your preferred colleges and specializations from all the available options.
6. The student then needs to lock their choices by clicking ’I agree to lock my choices.’
7. The students then needs to keep a printed copy of the page for their future reference.
NIT Manipur M.Tech Admissions 2024:
NIT Manipur is offering a 2-year M.Tech program with 5 specializations at the PG level, with a total fee of INR 1.69 lakhs.
NIT Manipur M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
2. Graduates should have a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5.
NIT Manipur M.Tech Selection Criteria:
1. Selection is based on the candidate’s GATE exam scores.
2. Candidates must also participate in the CCMT counseling process for final selection.
How to Apply for GATE?
To apply for GATE, eligible candidates must follow these steps:
1. Visit the official website.
2. Register using the provided link, entering your name, email ID, and mobile number.
3. After submitting the form, an enrollment ID will be sent to your mobile number.

All about CCMT Counselling
Candidates who have taken the GATE exam must participate in CCMT counseling. To apply, follow these steps:
1. Register on the official website.
2. Fill out the application form.
3. Pay the registration fee of 2,200 INR (1,700 INR for reserved categories).
4. Click "I agree."
5. Enter your choices and lock them when done.
6. Submit the application and keep a printed copy.
How to apply for IIT JAM?
1. Go to the official website.
2. Register by entering your name, email, and phone number. Create a password.
3. You’ll get an ID on your phone after registration.
4. Fill out the form, including your JAM paper choices and exam cities.
5. Pay the application fee online and keep a printout.
6. Later, download your admit card from the same website.
How to apply for for counseling
1. Visit the CCMN website and click "New Registration."
2. Put in your JAM score details and personal info.
3. Review the form, create a password, and submit it. You’ll get an OTP.
4. Enter the OTP to create a Permanent Identifier (PID). You’ll use this for future logins.
NIT Manipur Ph.D Admissions 2024
NIT Manipur offers Ph.D. programs in various fields. To apply:
1. Visit the official website.
2. Click on "Ph.D. admission advertisements."
3. Download the Ph.D. application form.
4. Fill it out and pay the application fee.
