NSB Academy Placement Process

NSB Academy has a systematic and well-structured placement process to help students find the best job opportunities during their program. The process is as follows:

Pre-placement talks: NSB Academy organizes pre-placement talks with companies so that students and recruiters can interact and learn more about each other. Company representatives give a 45-minute session to introduce their organization and highlight the strengths and opportunities they offer to NSB students. Q&A sessions are also held to help students better understand the organization and its requirements.

Student application: After learning about the company and its offerings, NSB students can apply for placements that match their career interests. Applications can be made on company-provided forms or as resumes, depending on the company’s requirements. Applications are then forwarded to the company within the specified deadline. Companies then evaluate the applications and shortlist suitable candidates.

Shortlists: After shortlisting the candidates, companies send the lists to the CRD office at least one week before the final placement interviews begin. Shortlisted candidates are then interviewed and given job offers.

Selection process: Candidates who pass the interview rounds are offered jobs by the companies. Students can accept the offer based on the institute’s placement policy.
Final offer: Finally, companies send formal offer letters to the CRD office.

NSB Academy placement training: NSB Academy provides placement training to its students from the day they start classes. The academy believes in preparing students for their future careers.

Placement training at NSB Academy Bangalore includes refining and sharpening students’ communication, presentation, aptitude, and attitudinal skills. The academy conducts group discussions, mock interviews, and interview FAQs to help students grab opportunities when they come their way.

Pre-placement training and career coaching are part of the NSB Academy curriculum. The academy teaches students how to write a strong resume and prepares them for rigorous interviews and hidden career opportunities.

As soon as students enroll and start attending first-semester classes, the management conducts a skill assessment and takes measures to improve their skills. In the second semester, the management reassesses students’ skills and provides need-based training. In the third semester, students receive specialized training based on their areas of interest.

Overview 5/5

Like everyone else, I started off with a confusion!- Where do I accomplish my MBA dream? Do I need to look out for location? Infrastructure? Placement? University? Scholarships? Faculty? Teaching methods? Industrial visits? Extra courses? International tours? Exchange programs?... and most importantly where do I find such a B-school with moderate program fees? Choices at this point, makes it complex to take a decision. But after a lot of research, I was lucky enough to have discovered National School of Business (NSB) . It was all mere words and dreams before joining, but a sheer delight later. After joining NSB, I would say it has given me a smile of satisfaction. NSB’s vision of creating individual champions through teamwork is an interesting one. It’s integrated teaching methodology that links all aspects of HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations and so on to a single phenomenon/instance is a phenomenal one. This helps us see business as an integrated set of activity rather than exploring business in silos of marketing or finance or HRM. This, in my opinion, is the hallmark of NSB’s teaching. NSB has gone an extra mile in creating outstanding learning opportunity. May it be partnering with IIM for resource sharing or giving an open offer to students to ask for any book that they want to read. NSB promises to buy any book that a student wants to read….what else can define it’s openness to help students learn? Moreover, I have been a beneficiary of NSB’s policy of rewarding using library more often. In the last semester, I got a special award for being an intense user of library. In this digital world, teaching methods of NSB reflect contemporary technology and impressive multi-media integration. The methodological diversity of teaching that includes group discussion, debate, quiz, individual and group presentations, role-plays, article reviews and industrial visits have taken us far away from mundane lectures. NSB has team-work focused ’Jnaanadhara’ groups, each group named after a management guru, that triggers inter-group competition to churn out best group effort. NSB’s special lecture series and Leadership in Action are the great opportunities for knowing what is on the other side of corporate walls. What do corporate expect out of MBA’s and how well we can mold ourselves to fit into corporate world is what it helps to us know. NSB goes an extra mile to enhance soft skills and much needed technical skills. NSB’s unique Business News Analysis brings huge thinking and analysis into classrooms. This particular module is designed in a way it makes us drill down to depth of the news to capture the essence of happenings in business world. NSB’s exchange program and Overseas business study tour has taken over 500 students to international destinations. This effort of NSB is reflected in NSB’s alumni excelling in Fortune 500 companies across the globe. NSB teaches its students to excel both in professional and personal front. The core members of the institution are management scholars, skillful intellects who set as living examples to be man of values rather than a man of success. ”Best things in life comes in small packages”. NSB is small in size, but the impact it create in this society is uncomparable .It has been ranked as 17th best in Silicon Valley, featured as Great Indian b-schools by Forbes ,ISO certified institute in terms of process excellence,3rd best in Return On Investment. It deserves more in future as well. I would say our NSB is Value for Money in every penny you pay. I always feel good for the wise decision I took joining National School of Business to fulfill my dreams and aspirations. Proud NSBian Divyakaladevi

NSB represents National Integration like no other. In a single classroom, one shall be able to witness a miniature version of whole India. Students from all over the nation add to the varied cultural heritage. NSB also provides ‘Exchange Program’, wherein, students of NSB go to France or Spain and the students of France and Spain come to NSB for a semester. This brings international culture also to NSB. The faculty of NSB believe in helping you through the struggle and not merely reducing the struggle to get you through easily. Each faculty is highly educated and knowledgeable person. They are easy to interact with. The teaching here is more of industry oriented, which helps the students to understand better. Also the classroom infrastructure like the projectors, air conditioners etc. aids the process of learning. NSB believes and encourages ‘team work’. The students are given assignments which they have to present in group. This helps students to understand the group dynamics and develop better group cohesion. The ‘Business News Analysis’ and ‘Concept Review’ are two main courses included in the curriculum, which helps the students to be updated on what’s going on around the world and also aids in developing their analytical skills. The social life in NSB is very exciting. NSB has clubs such as the ‘adventure club’, ‘movie club’, ‘literature club’, ‘cultural club’ and ‘disha’. The disha cell helps and encourages the young entrepreneurs. Events such as trekking trip, best manager event, debate competition, extempore and movie screening are organised by the respective clubs. NSB also takes students for industrial visits. The previous batch had been to the TVS company. The current batch will have the privilege of visiting industries like BEML, Toyota, etc. There’s also a GMT – ‘Global Mindset Trail’, which NSB organises. Recently, some of the students had been to Dubai for the same. The placements in NSB have also been good. More than 100 companies particpate in campus recruitments every year. What separates good B-schools from the ordinary ones? Not the buildings, not the degree, but what goes on in classrooms and what the outcomes are! That’s where National School of Business distinguishes itself as one of the great B-schools. NSB’s iinnovative teaching method focuses on collaborative learning and conceptual integration is praiseworthy. The objective orientation and the information flow between faculty and students is truly impressive here. Thinking, Investigating, Reason, Review, and Analysis are key components of teaching. Problem-based learning engages students and creates open-ended and meaningful discussions aligned to the curriculum. Problem solving improves our ability to define the problem, share information, and evaluate alternatives. Entrepreneurs are Made, Not Born! This augurs well with NSB. NSB has produced many big entrepreneurs. A step-by-step outline of how an entrepreneur or the owner of an enterprise expects to turn ideas into reality, the tools for growing business, managing growth, sources of funds and every element of entrepreneurship. Overview 5/5

It was an immense pleasure to be a student of National School of Business during 2014 and 2016. Extremely well qualified and knowledgeable professors are the USP of this institution. From the day one students are given an opportunity to think freely and explore their area of interest in the management field. NSB faculty members not only prepare the students for the corporate world, also the way of their teaching makes a student ready for further studies depending upon the student’s interest. The students are always encouraged to read text books and do more of research work than simply going through the notes and passing the exam. This practice helps the students rather ‘future managers’ to build a strong problem solving capability when they are in the corporate world. Faculty members are easily accessible even after the working hours and weekends for any kind of help. Non teaching staffs are as well very helpful and cooperative all the time.

Placement 4.5/5

The placement cell of NSB is passionate about placing each and every student in the domain of the student’s interest in case of both internship and regular job. To my opinion NSB placement cell is one among them who personally calls the students and asks to attend the interviews. The institution makes sure that all the students are well placed even before they finish their degree.
