Admissions 2024
PGPM 2024-26 Batch
All the IIMs that would be following the CAP have decided to strictly adhere to the Common Admission Process to be started by IIM Kashipur. The merit list would be prepared in accordance with the PI scores of CAP 2024. The dates for the same have not yet been communicated but would be done by the conducting institute, IIM Kashipur, very soon.
PGPBM 2024-26 Batch
On the basis of the twelfth standard marks, undergraduate scores and CAT marks; also taking work experience and reservations into consideration, the merit list is prepared. A written test is conducted followed by a Personal Interview.
PhD Programme 2024 Batch
The admission process in this course is multi-staged. It follows a system where the first step involves submitting an application form for the programme you are interested in. The second step involves a research aptitude examination and an area interview. Selected candidates are sent the offer letter.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli has a certain admission procedure. For admission to different programs offered by the institute, the candidates must follow the minimum educational criteria defined by the institute. The institute offers Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), Post Graduate Program in Business Management (PGPBM), and Fellowship Program in Management (FPM). The programs are offered under several specializations.
Minimum educational qualification required
For PGPM and PGPBM
- Candidates seeking admission at IIM Tiruchirappalli to any of the two programs must ensure that they possess a Bachelor’s degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
For FPM
- For admission to FPM, the candidates must possess a Master’s degree in any field securing at least 55% marks from a recognized university along with a Bachelor’s degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates who possess five year or four-year Integrated Master’s degree securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university are also eligible to apply for the FPM program.
Admission to PGPM and PGPBM at IIM Tiruchirappalli
- Admission to PGPM and PGPBM at IIM Tiruchirappalli Courses, Candidates are primarily shortlisted based on their performance in Common Admission Test (CAT).
- Candidates with valid score in any of the national level entrance examinations namely GMAT/GRE/GATE/NET are also eligible for admission.
- Final selection is done based on the candidates’ performance in Written Analysis Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds conducted by the institute.
- The candidate who has a valid score in CAT or GMAT examination is not required to appear the written analysis test conducted by the institute.
- Based on their performance in CAT/GMAT or Written analysis test, the candidates are shortlisted for further Personal Interview round.

Admission to FPM at IIM Tiruchirappalli
- Admission to FPM takes place based on the scores obtained by the candidates in CAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC JRF.
- If the candidate possesses a full-time PGDM degree from any of the IIMs, then there is no need to appear in the qualifying examinations.
- Shortlisted candidates are advised to appear in the interview process conducted at their respective area panels.

Note* Final selection is made based on the candidates’ performance in CAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC JRF, their work experience, academic performance, and performance in the interviews conducted by the institute.
Application Procedure of IIM Tiruchirappalli
- Candidates interested in PGP are required to register themselves for the further proceeding of admission. They must visit the official website of CAT in order to register themselves.
- Candidates seeking admission to PGPBM are required to visit the official website of IIM Trichy and register themselves by filling the application form available.
- The application fee for PGPBM is INR 2000 (INR 1000 for reserved categories) must be processed while filling the application form.
- For admission to FPM, candidates must visit the official website of IIM Trichy to download the application form and recommendation letter format.
- The application fee of INR 500 (No application fee for RC) must be processed while filling the form.
