For all PG and doctoral programmes, admission to IIM Sambalpur is based on a valid CAT exam score. In addition, other entrance exams are taken into account for admission to the doctoral programmes offered by IIM Sambalpur. Candidates seeking admission to MBA programmes must apply through the CAT website, whereas candidates seeking admission to doctoral programmes must apply through the institute’s official website. The following are the course-specific admission requirements for IIM Sambalpur:
PG Program
- Candidates for MBA must have a valid CAT exam score.
- In addition to the CAT cutoff, final selection is based on the Common Admission Process (CAP), which includes a written analysis and a personal interview (WAT & PI)
PhD programmes
- Candidates seeking admission to PhD programmes must have passed one of the following exams: CAT, GRE, GMAT, GATE, or JRF (UGC/CSIR) with a valid score. The final selection for the PhD programme is based on the students’ qualifying exam scores, personal interviews, prior experience, and academic performance.
- A minimum of five years of experience is required for the E-PhD programme. Candidates for admission must have a valid score in one of the following exams: IIM Sambalpur Research Aptitude Test (IIMSRAT)/ CAT/ GRE/ GATE/ GMAT/ JRF-UGC/ CSIR.
IIM Sambalpur Admission - MBA

IIM Sambalpur Admission Process – MBA
- Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for admission to the IIM Sambalpur MBA programme.

In order to apply for admission to Executive MBA programme, candidates must have a valid score in CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE. The college also conducts IIMSAT for admission to the Executive MBA course. The duration of the course is 2 years. The total fees of Executive MBA course is Rs. 9,00,000.
