Indian Institute of Management Indore is also known as IIM Indore. It was established in 1996. This is an autonomous public business school. It is located in Madhya Pradesh.

Admission for EPGP:

Eligibility: The program is eligible to all nationalities, however, the candidate must have:

Educational Qualification:

  • 50% in a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 50% in a three-year Bachelor’s Degree with 50% in a Master’s Degree.
  • 50% in five-year Integrated Programs/ other programs of similar duration.
  • A valid GMAT/GRE/CAT score. The GMAT and GRE scores should be within 5 years from the date of the application deadline. 
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial/entrepreneurial/professional experience after graduation as of the application deadline date i.e., November 30, 2023 (Phase 10 and January 15, 2024 (Phase 2).

Selection Process:

Shortlisting of candidates for the interview will be done on the basis of GMAT/GRE/CAT scores and any other criteria decided by the Admission Committee for that academic year.

Shortlisted candidates will then be called for a Personal Interview (PI). This also consists of a minimum performance score in different parameters of PI which are also set by the Admission Committee.

Candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned above will be selected for the final selection. A merit list will be generated based on the Composite Score (CS).

Following this, a merit list broken down by category will be created using the Final Composite Score (FCS) as shown in the table above. Provisional admission offers will then be made accordingly.

 

IIM Indore Admissions for International Students

Only foreign passport holders will be considered as ‘International Applicants’ for admission to the Post Graduate Program in Management of IIM Indore in the 2023-25 batch. IIM Indore has reserved 10 seats for International applicants under the Supernumerary Quota (this is separate from the regular intake for the PGP program).

 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must have a valid Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) of at least 700 as of December 31, 202. The scores of GMAT taken from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022, will only be considered.
  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any University or educational institution. The equivalence of the foreign degree needs to be certified by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year for the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification exam and who have completed the degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will only be allowed to join the program only if they submit a certificate from the principal/ registrar of the university or institution (issued on or before June 30, 2023) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification.

Candidates should fulfill any one of the following 

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage or CGPA of marks.
  • Complete professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA/ Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with a minimum 50% of marks.
  • Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s with at least 50% of the marks.

Application Process:

An International Applicant, seeking admission to the PGP program of IIM Indore can take the GMAT in their country of residence and apply for admission in the application form, which can be downloaded from the official website.

The last date for the complete application packet is January 20,2023. This must include the following set of materials:

  • Complete the application form after downloading it from the official website.
  • A copy of self-attested GMAT scores (original to be verified at the time of the interview, if selected).
  • A copy of self-attested TOEFL scores, if medium of instruction has not been English (original to be verified at the time of the interview, if selected).
  • At least three Letters of Recommendation from a qualified authority (Teacher/Employer).
  • A statement of purpose.
  • Self-attested photocopy of passport.
  • A non-refundable application processing fee of US $100.

Selection Process

  • Short-listing for the Personal Interview (PI) will be done on the basis of the eligibility criteria mentioned above. 
  • Candidates short-listed will be intimated by the first week of February 2023. IIM Indore will conduct the admission interviews in both online and offline (in Delhi and Mumbai only) mode depending on the situation. Candidates must make necessary travel arrangements for this and should indicate their preference for the interview center in the application form. 
  • Shortlisted candidates will have to attend the PI, failing to do so they will not be considered for the next stage.
  • IIM Indore also sets minimum performance in different parameters of the PI decided by the Admission Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any parameter of the PI will not be selected for the next stage.

Final Stage:

The candidate would be chosen in the end based on the merit determined by the Final Composite Score (FCS). The format for calculating this is given below:
