Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) seeks admission through NEET counselling and Swami Rama Himalayan University Common Examination in Nursing, Paramedical (CEENP). Courses such as MBBS, MS and MD are based on NEET score. For the superspeciality course, candidates must have qualified NEET SS through common counselling, conducted at National Level by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi.

 

How To Apply?

Step 1 - The application form is accepted through both online & offline mode.

Step 2 - Candidates must register themselves on the official website of the college to apply for admission.

Step 3 - Candidates must fill in all the details such as personal, educational, etc and submit their entrance score along with it. 

Step 4 - Process the payment of application fee through Debit card/Credit Card/ Net Banking. 

Step 5 - Keep a photocopy of the application form for future reference. 

Step 6 - Make sure to send a complete application form, otherwise it can lead to cancellation of the application.

Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS, B.Sc. in Medical Technology, B.P.T., BASLP at Under Graduate level and MD, MS, PG diploma at Post Graduate level. Candidates seeking admission in MBBS programme must have passed class XII with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate whereas candidates seeking admission in B.Sc., BPT, BASPL must have class XII with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate from a recognized board.

Highlights of Admission at HIMS:

The candidates seeking admission in the HIMS Courses, must know the following details regarding admission:

  • The candidate seeking admission in B.Sc./ BPT/ BASPL programme must have passed class XII with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate from a recognized board. Admissions are provided on the basis of Common Entrance Examination in Nursing and Paramedical (CEENP) which is conducted by the university
  • The candidate applying for MBBS must have passed class XII with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate and must possess at least 50 percent marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology. The candidate must have qualified NEET examination for admission in MBBS.
  • The candidate applying for MD/ MS/ PGD programme must have completed MBBS from a recognized university. Admissions are provided on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in PGMEE examination.
  • The candidate seeking admission in MPT programme offered by the HIMS must have passed BPT from a recognized university along with qualifying CEENP examination.

  • Relaxation of 10 percent is granted to the candidates of the Reserved Category.
  • The candidate must have qualified NEET 2022.
  • Thirty percent of the total MBBS seats are reserved for the candidates of the state of Uttarakhand.
  • The candidate must carry their NEET 2022 Admit Card along with other documents during counseling.

Admission in other Under Graduate Programmes:

  • The candidate applying for admission in B.Sc., BPT and BASLP programmes must have passed class XII from a recognized university.
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology/ Health Care Sciences/ Mathematics and English with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate.
  • A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of Reserved Category
  • Candidates seeking admission in BPT must have passed class XII with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology/ Health Care Sciences as the mandatory subjects.

  • A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of Reserved Category
  • Admission in MD, MS and PGD are provided on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination i.e. PGMEE.
