Admission Procedure of Government Engineering College

Admission to the B. Tech Program
Government Engineering College Courses offer B. Tech program at the undergraduate level. The program is offered under several specializations such as Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
- Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech program must appear in and qualify JEE Main examination conducted by CBSE Board.
- Candidates with a valid score in JEE Main are required to sit through REAP Counseling procedure.
- REAP counseling is conducted at the university level by Rajasthan Board of Technical Education (RBTE).
- The counseling procedure takes place based on candidates score in JEE Main examination or merit in the last qualifying examination.
- Interested candidates are required to process the payment of INR 700 as application fee through eMitra or CSC Kiosk Center.
Eligibility Required
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech must have passed senior secondary school with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology securing at least 45% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories must have secured at least 40% marks in aggregate.
Admission to the M. Tech Program
The college offers M. Tech, MBA, and MCA programs at the postgraduate level and there are several specializations to it. The specializations under which the M. Tech program is offered are Computer Science & Engineering, Digital Communication, Production Engineering, and Software Engineering.
- For admission to M. Tech, the candidates are shortlisted based on the merit in the last qualifying examination. Candidates with qualifying marks are considered to be eligible for admission.
- Students with a valid score in GATE examination are given preference during admission procedure.
- Candidates seeking admission to MBA must qualify RMAT examination.
- Candidates with a valid score in MAT or CAT examination are also eligible to apply for admission to MBA.
- For admission to MCA, the candidates must qualify RMCAAT entrance examination.
Note* RMAT and RMCAAT are the entrance examinations for admission to MBA and MCA respectively. These examinations are conducted the Rajasthan Technical University (RTU).
Note* In case of MBA and MCA, the candidates must apply online and make the payment of INR 11000. Out of this amount INR 10,000 amount will be taken as admission fee.
Eligibility Required
- For admission to M. Tech, the candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in BE/B. Tech in the relevant field securing at least 55% (50% marks for SC/ST) marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- For admission to MBA, the candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any field securing at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
- Admission to MCA requires a bachelor's degree in any field.
