GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar is a private medical college which reputes under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat. The college is located in the capital of Gujarat and is considered to be one of the fastest growing medical colleges in the state. The institute aims to be among the top medical colleges across the country in terms of medical education, research, and health care services.
The foundation stone of the college was laid in the year 2010 and the first batch of 150 students was provided with admission in the year 2012. The college is also attached to the General Hospital, Gandhinagar which is a 650 bedded, academic teaching hospital.
GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar is spread over an area of 42 acres in the central Gandhinagar and is nearly 1 km away from the Gandhinagar Railway Station. The college is affiliated to Gujarat University and offers Under Graduate in the field of medicines and science. Admissions in Under Graduate courses are provided on the basis of NEET entrance examination which is conducted by the National Testing Agency in the month of May every year.
Candidates aspiring to get admission in courses offered by GMERS must have qualified the above-mentioned examination along with passing the qualifying examination i.e. Class XII for admission in Under Graduate courses and MBBS for admission in Post Graduate degree and diploma programmes.
