The Admission procedure of DIT University varies from one program to the other. There are various courses offered by the university. The programs are offered at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. Besides, it also offers Ph.D. program at the Doctorate level. These programs are offered under various specializations; the candidates can choose fields they wish to pursue their career in. The programs are offered under the fields of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, and Architecture.
The candidates seeking admission to any of the program offered by the university must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university.
Minimum Educational Qualifications Required
For Undergraduate Programs
- For B. Tech, the candidates must have passed 10+2 securing at least 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Computer from a recognized board.
- For B. Tech Lateral entry, the candidates are required to hold a Diploma in the relevant field securing at least 50% marks.
- For Diploma programs, the candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in class 10th.
- For B. Arch, it is required to have secured 60% marks in 10th and 12th class with Mathematics as main subjects.
- For admission to B. Des, D. Pharm, B. Sc, BA, and BCA, the candidates must have passed 10+2 in the relevant fields securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- For admission to B. Pharm, the candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 50% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in senior secondary school with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
For Postgraduate Programs
- Admission to M. Tech requires BE/B. Tech/M. Sc or MCA degree in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- For M. Sc, the candidates must hold a B. Sc degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- For admission to M. Pharm, the candidates must have completed B. Pharm with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- For MBA, the candidates must have secured 50% marks in HSC, SSC, and Graduation in any stream.
- For MCA (LE), the candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in BCA/B. Sc.
For Ph.D. Program
- Candidates seeking admission to the Doctorate level program must have completed M. Sc/M. Tech/MA in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Admission to Undergraduate Programs at DIT University
The university offers several undergraduate programs, that too under several specializations. The candidates seeking admission to any of the programs must meet the requirements of the program they wish to pursue their career in. Each program follows a different procedure of admission.
- For admission to B. Tech, the candidates are required to qualify JEE Main examination.
- The candidates with valid score in JEE Main examination are advised to appear in the counseling process conducted by the university.
- While admission to B. Tech (Lateral Entry) and Diploma entirely depends on the marks obtained by candidates in the last qualifying examination.
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch must possess a valid score in NATA or JEE Main.
- While admission to rest of the programs namely B. Des, B. Pharm, D. Pharm, B. Sc, BA, and BCA takes place based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the last qualifying examination followed by an interview round.
Admission to Postgraduate Programs at DIT University
- For admission to M. Tech and M. Pharm, the candidates must have qualified GATE/NET or GPAT examination respectively with a valid score.
- While admission to M. Sc is merit-based i.e. based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the last qualifying examination.
- Candidates seeking admission to MBA must qualify CAT/MAT/XAT or CMAT examination.
- Shortlisted candidates are advised to go through the Personal Interview and Group Discussion rounds conducted at the university.
- Admission to MCA (LE) is merit-based.
Admission to Ph.D. at DIT University
- For admission to Ph.D., the candidates are required to appear and qualify GATE/NET/SLET or DUET examination followed by the personal interview round conducted at the university.
- DUET (DIT University Entrance Test) is the entrance examination conducted by the university itself.
Application Procedure of DIT University
- Interested candidates must register themselves by visiting the official website of the university.
- Candidates must ensure that they fill in the application form by providing correct personal and educational details as any incorrect detail may lead to cancellation of the candidature.
- Process the payment of INR 1250 as application fee. The payment needs to be made online by net banking/credit card or debit card.

The overall review for the college is that it is a really good place to learn and grow. Opportunities are given but you have to be open to them. It provides you with great exposure but you too must work hard to achieve your goals.

By the name, everyone thinks that it is a private institution but actually it is a private university in the Dehradun city and I have pursued my graduation in the mechanical engineering from this college and for taking admission here the entrance result of the AIEEE is totally accepted.
