DAV College Chandigarh, also known as DAVCHD commenced its establishment in the academic year of 1958. The establishment took place with the help of Mahatma Hans Raj. The college has been affiliated to Panjab University and is being managed by Dayanand Anglo Vedic College Trust and Management Society. The college has been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore with grade ‘A’. According to a survey conducted by AC Nielsonorg Marg, the college is ranked as the top Commerce college in Northern India. The college has also been ranked within the All India rank Band 101-150 and is termed as Chandigarh’s Best College (2019-20).

As per the ranking of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the college has been ranked 109 during the year 2020..

DAV College Chandigarh Admission takes placed based on the rules and regulation of Panjab University. The admission procedure is conducted online on the official website of the college. Candidates seeking admission are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university.   • Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the college will be shortlisted based purely on the merit list of the qualifying examination.

DAV College Chandigarh Facilities

Hostel: Hostels are granted strictly based on performance. The girls ’hostel has a capacity of 400 and the boys’ hostel has a capacity of 250. School children are not allowed in the hostel unless they are accompanied by a responsible parent or legal guardian. It has air-conditioned rooms and offers hygienic catering for students.

Library: The DAV College library has books and reading material for students. 8 computers that are connected via a LAN and have a subscription to English / Hindi / Punjabi newspapers. Collection of old palm leaf and paper manuscripts, together with rare volumes of poetry, prose, astronomy, astrology, Vedic literature, art and architecture, epics and puranas, etc.

Laboratories: The DAVC has more than 30 laboratories for all demanding subjects with all necessary equipment and facilities.

Cafeteria, banking and medical facilities; The university has a coffee shop, one next to Indian Coffee, another next to Nescafé and a juice bar. The university has an Extension Desk branch of the State Bank of India that operates 6 days a week. A State Bank of India ATM is also available on campus for students and staff, and the university pharmacy is well stocked with first aid, common medicines, blood pressure monitors and a wheelchair. A doctor is also employed for the benefit of the students. and in emergencies, students are transferred to the nearby hospital.
