The CMR University has a training and placement centre. It prepares students for CMR University placements. The placement drive at the campus is organized by the placement team. As per NIRF 2023 report, 192 students of the UG 3-year programme were placed with a CMRU median salary package of Rs 3,20,000. During CMR University placements, 162 students of the UG 4-year programme were placed with a median salary package of Rs 4,20,000. CMR University median salary package for the UG 5-year programme stood at Rs 4,00,000. PG 2-year students got placement with the CMRU median salary package of Rs 3,30,000.
The training and placement centre keeps the needs of the corporates in mind. Accordingly, it helps shape and plan students' careers. Seminars, workshops, guest lectures are some of the CMRU placement activities. They are organized by the training and placement centre. The placement team of CMR University consists of faculty members and students.

- In 2022, a growth of 275% in the highest package was observed in comparison to 2021.
- A growth of nearly 85% was seen in the average package. This rise was seen in 2022 as compared with 2021.
